On Early Adopting

A small study about the different categories of technology adoption There is a significant difference between being able to make use of and taking advantage of new technologies, and attempting to embrace technology a tad bit too early. However, spotting these differences can be quite a chore, and many people have even stopped trying to acknowledge a difference between the two. In a study performed by Everett Rogers which led to the formulation of a theory called Diffusion of Innovations (DoI), it is said that there are 5 different categories of adopters which are: Innovators, Early Adopters, Early Majority, Late Majority, and Laggards. According to the (DoI) theory formulated by Everett Rogers, early adopters make up 13.5 percent of the population .
